I don’t really like to judge a book by it’s cover, but when it comes to movies you can at least know what to expect, yes I know some of the worst movies ever had awesome trailers, but what if the trailer is already bad, should we expect the unexpected?
A lot of people are talking about Pacific Rim, a movie that talks about a race of aliens coming from under the pacific to take over the world, well yeah we’ve seen that a million times before, what’s different this time? well they are huge aliens that destroy everything in their way, wait a second, lets think about this , a huge creature, destroying cities and killing people, I’ve seen that before, wasn’t that Godzilla?? oh yeah Godzilla wasn’t an alien, but it’s the same thing, there must be something really special about this movie other than the creatures, something like a huge robot , that fights these creatures and brings peace to Earth, wait wait wait, a huge robot, fighting aliens, protecting people, that sounds really familiar, oh yeah , The Transformers, that’s right, yes the Robots are the aliens in Transformers, and the robot in Pacific Rim is controlled by pilots, but come on , it’s a robot fighting something else to protect Earth..
So basically this movie is Godzilla + The Transformers in one movie, is it cool?? probably.. Any explosions?? well yeah of course.. Is it worth watching?? I think if you have nothing else to do that weekend then why not.. Is it going to be an awesome movie?? No, it will not, because we’ve seen this over and over and over again, and you probably would start playing candy crush in the middle of the movie, but again if you have nothing else to do, why not..
